Join Us for "The Sound of Music" Audition Workshop
Does your child dream of being on stage? Whether they want to play Maria, Captain von Trapp, one of the von Trapp children, or join the talented ensemble, this workshop will help them prepare for auditions with confidence!
This is a fantastic opportunity for both first-time performers and seasoned actors. No prior experience is required—just enthusiasm!

At the workshop, students will:
- Introduction to the Musical: Providing an overview of the storyline, characters, and musical numbers to familiarize students with the production.
- Work with the Choreographer: Learn the dance ahead of time right from Ms. Leslie! Everyone else will need to watch a tutorial video.
- Audition Preparation: Guidance on selecting appropriate audition pieces (songs and monologues), understanding character breakdowns, and practicing audition etiquette.
- Vocal Coaching: Warm-up exercises, vocal technique tips, and practice sessions to help students prepare their audition songs.
- Acting Tips: Instruction on interpreting scenes, developing characters, and conveying emotions effectively on stage.
- Audition Tips and Mock Auditions: Tips on managing nerves, projecting confidence, and performing under pressure. Mock auditions may be conducted to simulate the audition process and provide feedback.
- Q&A Session: Opportunity for students to ask questions about auditions, the production process, and expectations.
